A Night To Recognize And Give Thanks To Our Student-Athletes

On April 17, 2023, the Shaw Universe Athletic Department held its annual Athletic Banquet in the historic Spaulding Gymnasium.
The event headliner, the legendary coach George Williams, delivered an inspiring speech to audience.
The
Athletic Department along with each sport team’ s head coach gave out a variety of awards ranging from most valuable player to highest grade point average.
The Shaw University Bears Booster Club presented the following gifts.
1. $7,500 monetary award earmarked as follows:
- $2,500 earmarked to the football team on an unrestricted basis based on a donation from Roger & Claudette Parham (Parham Family Fund) in honor of Jordan Robinson.
- $5.000 earmarked to the Athletic Department on an unrestricted basis.
2. Surprise Gift for the Bowling Team.
3. Free membership in the Booster Club for 2 years for graduating student athletes.
